At La Bâtie Monsaléon, Gallo-Roman history unfolds right at your feet. In the heart of this peaceful and charming village, once known as Mons Seleucus, Fred, the owner, will welcome you to his holiday cottage, "Ad Montem Arambre."
This accommodation is located in a fully renovated stone house that combines modern comfort with the warmth of the past.
The holiday cottage has two levels and features an entrance opening onto an enclosed courtyard where you can park, as well as a garage (for one car or several motorcycles), which also allows you to store your gear (bikes, paddleboards, skis, etc.).
On the ground floor, accessed from outside, you’ll find a terrace on the right under a green arbor, featuring a dining area equipped with a griddle, and leading into a large, fully equipped kitchen with a dining area, a pantry, and a coat closet. This room extends into a bar area with a dining nook, a separate restroom, a large mountain-style living room (sleeping 2 additional guests on a sofa bed) equipped with a wood-burning stove, and a veranda leading to the private garden and Piscine. On this same level, there is a wheelchair-accessible bedroom with a 140x190cm double bed and a private, fully equipped bathroom.
A first spiral staircase leads to a double bedroom with a 160x200cm double bed and a private bathroom. A small balcony is accessible from this bedroom.
A second wooden staircase leads to the third bedroom, featuring a double bed and two single beds (140x190cm + 2x90x190cm) and a private bathroom. On this same level, there is access to the laundry area.
Near the holiday cottage, there are many opportunities for outdoor activities and exploring the local flora and fauna: hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, the Germanette and Riou lakes, and rock climbing at the Orpierre site.
In nearby Dévoluy, enjoy via ferrata, via souterrata, a sports center, and Wellbeing facilities, including the O’dycéa baths. And in winter, skiing, snowshoeing, or dog sledding (La Joue du Loup and Superdévoluy resorts). Finally, Lake Serre-Ponçon, the jewel of the Embrunais region, with its turquoise waters for freshwater sailors seeking an escape. During the summer, every Thursday from May 18, 2026, through the fall, a small night market is held starting at 6 p.m., just 100 meters from the holiday cottage on the town hall square. It’s a chance to meet our local producers, do some shopping, or grab a bite to eat on-site while enjoying live music in a friendly atmosphere.
Just outside the holiday cottage, there’s a set of boules (available at the cottage) for pétanque enthusiasts, and for kids (and adults) there are playground games in the public park (slide, swing, climbing frame?), as well as a city park. During the height of summer, you can enjoy organic vegetables from the holiday cottage’s garden.
