The Serre-Ponçon area is the most southerly part of the Parc des Ecrins, as evidenced by its dry, sunny climate and rich flora and fauna. The Les Orres ski area, just a few kilometers away (accessible by shuttle), is nestled in the heart of a larch forest, and offers you the chance to ski in the woods. The ski slopes of Les Orres are renowned for their sporty nature. In fact, at the top of the resort, experienced skiers can take to the red and black runs, including the Pousterle piste. But beginners are not left out: the ski area has a special beginners' zone.
