Rich in forests and pastures, the commune of Crots rises above the Serre-Ponçon lake, making it a great place for hiking, including a multi-faceted hike to the Grand Morgon peak, after a lunar landscape at the Cirque de Bragousse, a magnificent meadow through the Morgon cirque and finally an unforgettable panorama from the Pic du Morgon. The Parc National des Ecrins is also part of the Embrunais landscape, and is the most southerly of the park's sectors. From the shores of the lake to the Tête de Vautisse (3156 m), hikers can switch from the Mediterranean influence to the nival stage, and contemplate a wide variety of flora and fauna.
