Le Couvent de Barbentane

In the heart of a renovated 17th-century convent, characterful guest rooms with Mediterranean garden and swimming pool.

This guest house is a former convent that has been altered by time and its various uses: school, fruit and vegetable warehouse... After 3 years of restoration work, it has been totally restored by its owners under the watchful eye of the Architectes des Bâtiments de France and the Fondation du Patrimoine, saving it from ruin and restoring it to its former charm.
In the charming village of Barbentane, at the foot of the Montagnette massif with its walks and the Saint Michel de Frigolet abbey, come and experience the heart of Provence!
Between Avignon, the Alpilles Natural Park and its charming villages (Saint Rémy de Provence, les Baux, Eygalières, Maussanes les Alpilles...), Arles and Uzès, Le Couvent de Barbentane welcomes you for a restful, discovering, sporting, cultural, heritage or gastronomic stay!
The house features a landscaped Mediterranean garden, a 12x4 saltwater swimming pool open from 8am to 10pm, a large terrace and a summer kitchen in the shade of the pergola.

On the second floor, access via a beautiful stone spiral staircase:
- Entrance hall
- La Chambre des Observantins: double room with twin 90x200 beds, dressing area, separate toilet and bathroom with walk-in shower and heated towel rail.
- La Montagnette: family room with entrance hall leading to a double bedroom with a 180x200 double bed and wardrobe, a children's double bedroom with twin 90x190 beds and wardrobe, a bathroom with walk-in shower, double washbasin and heated towel rail, and a separate toilet.

Breakfast, with local and seasonal products, can be served on the terrace, in the cloister or inside the house.
Private parking on the property.

On request at least 48 hours in advance:
- transfer to Avignon TGV station (10 mn) or Avignon center (20 mn)
- baby equipment
- packed lunch for excursions
