La Parenthèse Méditerranéenne is more than just a bed-and-breakfast: it’s an oasis of serenity in La Ciotat, just a stone’s throw from the beaches, the calanques, and the pine-lined trails. As soon as you arrive, the Spa (open from May through September), a hammock, and lounge chairs invite you to slow down.
Around La Ciotat, set out by boat or on foot to explore the calanques, Île Verte, and Mugel Park, or enjoy the beaches, Provençal markets, and historic streets of the city center. Nearby, hiking in the mountains, scuba diving, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and sunset strolls round out the activities.

Every morning, the terrace becomes a little gourmet paradise. Jams, breads, homemade pastries, fruit, and fresh local produce make up the generous breakfasts, carefully prepared by the owner. In winter, you’ll enjoy them in the cozy living room, where a reading nook awaits you.

Upstairs, just for you, are the Corail and Cap Bleu rooms (rented together, accommodating 1 to 4 people). Each room features a 160×200 cm bed, a large closet with a mirror, a dressing table, a desk, a storage unit, a smart TV, and a view of the garden. A shared bathroom with a walk-in shower and a separate toilet complete the space.

On the ground floor, there’s a kitchen and pantry with access upon request (coffee maker, microwave, fridge/freezer) and, for stays of 3 nights or more, a washing machine.

Outside, enjoy an enclosed garden with a patio and patio furniture. Two private parking spaces are available on the gated property.

Only humans are welcome here: pets are not allowed (but the owners’ cat keeps watch over the property).

The two upstairs bedrooms cannot be rented together unless the guests are a group of 4 people from the same family or the same group of friends. If two people wish to rent both bedrooms, a supplement of 40 euros per night will be charged, to be paid directly to the owner at the start of the stay.
