Here, the scent of Provence. A charming Holiday cottage with panoramic views of the Sea and the Mountain, which will seduce you with its preserved rural quality: horticulture, olive grove, forest, donkeys... The owners, lovers of "Regain" furniture, have turned their Holiday cottage into a veritable "Regain living museum". Ideally located between the Sea and the first mountains of the French Riviera, the village of La Colle sur Loup is a very pleasant tourist resort 30 minutes from Nice and less than an hour from the Préalpes d'Azur ski resorts. This ancient town still boasts a medieval castle and a 12th-century priory, which has been converted into a gourmet restaurant. Its lively shopping streets are much sought-after by holidaymakers for their decorative stores, antiques and fine Mediterranean cuisine.

My wife and I really, really enjoyed "L'Oustaou". Spacious rooms, nice terrace and pool, nice view towards the coast, nicely located on the more quiet edge of the metropolitan, busy area that Nice and the Cote d'Azur of course are. The house has quite a bit of character, obviously being decorated not with today's furniture but with very tasteful, well built, well maintained furnishings for people who appreciate that. We certainly did. Lots of pretty books about art, cars and the region.
And all of that is also the link to the owners. Who were so generously sharing this with us, and a story or two. It might seem scary to share a house with the owners, but Rolland and Marie-Yvonne are a really good addition to it. And they're never in the way, at all. It was a real pleasure meeting them too.La Colle-sur-Loup is a great place to start any trip either up into the countryside or down towards the coast. Easy grocery shopping. Good balance between being close to everything and still having that quiet terrace.
Highly recommended when visiting the region, including meeting the owners.

Caro Très bon séjour avec une vue magnifique
Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans l'Oustaou, qui est décoré avec soin et personnalité. La vue est absolument magnifique, sur mer et montagne, dans un jardin fleuri, bien entretenu et au milieu des citronniers et oliviers. L'accueil des propriétaires est chaleureux, avec panier d'accueil apprécié quand on arrive en fin de journée et une attention pour l'anniversaire de notre fille. ET la région est riche d'activités en tout genre!
