The gîte La Cascade has its own entrance and two private terraces (one to the side, the other to the rear). Unenclosed shared grounds. Gîte on 2 levels. First floor: Entrance hall. Kitchen / living room / sitting area with BZ. Separate toilet. 1st floor: Bedroom 1 (1 bed 140) , Bedroom 2 (3 beds 80x200). Shower room /wc. Possibility of renting sheets and towels, end-of-stay cleaning package on request, payable on site. Electric heating. Charges extra.

B & B Bienvenue chez les marmottes
Nous avons apprécié le calme du site et du gîte, la possibilité de se balader en forêt directement à pied depuis le gîte, la proximité de nombreux départs de randos.
Nous avons été un peu déçus par la vue (nettement moins avantageuse que l'autre gîte) et par l'orientation du gîte, qui ne nous permettait pas de bénéficier d'un ensoleillement optimal. Gîte un peu froid et sombre au rez-de-chaussée. Le bureau dans la chambre double est encombrant et inutilisable !- Cleanliness

Séjour au calme dans ce hameau à quelques kilomètres du village. Très bon accueil de Marc et Béatrice, avec des histoires locales et des conseils rando. Belles randonnées dans la vallée mais le gite est quand même assez éloigné des points de départ des hameaux de Fouillouse où où Maljasset pour les sites les plus spectaculaires. Le réseau téléphone/Internet ne passe pas au gîte. Il Faut sortir dehors quelques mètres pour capter un tant soit peu. Cela ne nous a pas dérangées mais cela peut être gênant pour certaines personnes. Gîte agréable et très propre. Très bon séjour.

1-The bedding not being provided we paid extra for it. The bed sheets were on a chair, we had to do the beds ourselves; the sheets were not ironed and crumpled, there was dust inside on of them.
2-The owner uses a company to let people in and out. This is very formal and we had to agree a week in advance our departure time to the half hour (9.30 not 9.00) which was awkward
3- despite it being in summer and the weather being sunny, and we did not use any heating, the free electricity consumption was limited, so we had to pay extra...12 euros. Obviously this is not much, so why is it not included in the price in first place? The house is on the shaded side and not bright inside so that downstairs it is not possible to switch off lights during the day.- Cleanliness

Hello,
Following the unfavorable review of the Cascade cottage, I would like to inform you that:
1) The description clearly states that electricity usage exceeding the weekly allowance will be charged to prevent abuse (lighting and heating).
To date (and since our cottages opened), we have not received any comments about the dark side of the cottage. It is located on the west side, which is very pleasant in hot weather as it is sheltered from the sun. An upper terrace is available to guests. It is rarely used but is pleasant, facing the Chambeyron peak and therefore on the east side.
2) Regarding the rental of sheets.
We use the services of the Vars Laundry, however, it only opens during the summer season, which began this year on July 7 and runs until the end of August. Outside these dates, we provide sheets and towels on request. We usually dry our sheets outdoors on our wooden deck and for ironing, we use a standard steam iron, which is undoubtedly less efficient than an industrial laundry iron. Our linen is protected in zippered bags.
For this reason, we do not recommend renting sheets outside of the summer season.
So much so that Céline, our representative, after contacting us, reimbursed you the €30 for the bed linen rental on the day of your departure, July 12, in cash. You do not seem to have viewed our commercial gesture positively.
3) It is customary for bed linen to be provided but for the beds to be made by the guests!
This is customary at Gîtes de France.
4) Céline, our representative, provides an outstanding service that is appreciated by the tenants of our cottages. She has professional constraints that require her to schedule her appointments. Unfortunately, we cannot provide the same services as a 3* or 4*star hotel!

boutgomb Un cadre enchanteur au milieu des montagnes
Gîte confortable à côté des proprios dispos et très connaisseurs de la région; un service de conciergerie réactif. Idéalement placé proche de différentes randos et du village de St Paul où se trouvent une épicerie avec le nécessaire utile, un café librairie pour se détendre après les randos et manger un bon cookie.
