Gîte de Baude

Thérèse and Serge Fillonneau, who are passionate about heritage, will be delighted to welcome you to an old stone farmhouse that they have largely restored. It is a detached house located in the hamlet of Baude in the town of Montreuil; the owners’ residence is nearby.The holiday cottage is in the countryside but less than 5 minutes from a shop. It is an LPO-certified nature refuge. Ground floor: living room/lounge/kitchen/laundry room, bathroom accessible to guests with limited mobility, toilet, 1 bedroom (1 160-bed). Upstairs: 3 bedrooms (2 90 beds in each bedroom), shower room/toilet, bathroom (shower, bathtub), toilet. Outside: the garden (a 1,200 m² LPO nature reserve) is fenced and wooded. The private Piscine (5x10m) features a terrace (garden furniture, lounge chairs, barbecue). Large covered area for outdoor dining. Adult bicycles (no kids’ bikes), ping-pong table, children’s games. Hiking and biking trails start right from the holiday cottage. Weekend stays available upon request during Mid and Low Seasons (contact us for rates). The Vendée coast is 45 minutes away. La Rochelle and Île de Ré are 46 km away. Puy du Fou is 1 hour away.

Optional charges to be paid on site at the end of your stay:
Cleaning fee: 50€/stay; Sheet rental: 1 person, 5€/90-cm bed/stay; 160-cm bed: 10€/bed/stay; bath towels: 5€/person/stay.

Additional charges:
- Tourist tax
- Oil heating and hot water (oil-fired), based on meter readings upon arrival and departure: to be paid at the end of your stay from October through May.
- Bed linens and towels are available for rent. Please let us know before your arrival. Beds will be made on arrival.
- Security deposit of 300 € for vacation rentals and 800 € for business contracts.

When making your reservation, please provide the first and last names and dates of birth of the guests (so we can better prepare the holiday cottage).
We are available at any time should you encounter any issues.
The Piscine is open starting in JUNE, weather permitting. It is EXCLUSIVELY reserved for guests listed on the rental agreement. A waiver regarding use of the Piscine is signed upon arrival at the holiday cottage. Maintenance (running the pool cleaner and checking the water) is performed daily by the owner whenever possible while you are away, but may also be done at the end of the day or early in the morning...
