Domaine de Launay

Set in a 17th and 18th century property on a 20 ha estate, the Holiday cottage boasts "top-of-the-range" amenities, as it is regularly used by VIPs for various events organized on the Le Mans 24H circuit. It comprises a large living room, a vast kitchen, 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Ground floor: living room (50 m2) with large fireplace, equipped kitchen (25 m2), laundry room, bedroom with 1 bed 160, bathroom (shower and double basin), separate toilet. Upstairs: 1 bedroom with 1 bed 180 and bathroom (bath, washbasin and wc), 1 bedroom with 2 beds 90 and bathroom (shower and wc) and 1 bedroom with 1 bed 180 or 2 beds 90 and bathroom (shower and wc). 1 fully fenced swimming pool (6 m / 12 m) open from 15/05 to 30/09. All Holiday cottage rooms and the Piscine are equipped with state-of-the-art, high-performance WIFI (50 megabytes incoming and 50 megabytes outgoing). A large swimming pool (6 x 14 meters), located 50 meters from the Holiday cottage, completely renovated in 2021, heated to 25 degrees and fully fenced; open from May 15 to September 30. The Piscine is open every day from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Outside these hours, access to the pool is not permitted. At certain times of the year, the Piscine may be shared with the owners, according to pre-defined schedules (minimum 6 hours/day of totally private use for Holiday cottage guests). Compulsory extra cleaning charge: 150€ to be paid on booking. Linen rental (complete kit: sheets, towels and tea towel) optional 20€/pers for the stay. Can be booked when reserving the Holiday cottage or with the owner one week before arrival, to be paid on arrival in the Holiday cottage. A maximum of two pets allowed per stay. Free for the 1st pet and €5 supplement per day for the 2nd pet.

History :

The various buildings on the Launay estate, of which the gîte is an integral part, were begun in the 17th century as a simple hunting lodge, before being transformed into a pleasure estate. The oldest buildings are the two courtyard pavilions and the central part of the main building. Several architectural modifications were subsequently made in the 18th and 19th centuries, while preserving the harmony and unity of style of all the buildings.

Since the early 2000s, the Domaine de Launay has played host to prestigious teams every year for the Le Mans 24-hour race, as well as for the famous "Le Mans Classic" event and the French Motorcycle Grand Prix.l

Cleaning fee of 150 euros systematically added to the rental price. Rates on request during sporting events on the 24 Hours circuit.
