Le Marronnier

Le Marronnier offers a stopover on the GR 36 (from La Manche to the Pyrenees). It's also an ideal stopover gîte, 4km from the greenway that passes through Pré-en-Paille, Javron-les-Chapelles and joins the Vélo Francette at Mayenne (towpath). You're in the Normandie-Maine regional nature park, 5km north of Saint Pierre des Nids. The gîte is located in the former school and adjoins the town hall. On the ground floor, you'll find a large 44m² room that can accommodate up to 35 people, opening onto a fully-equipped kitchen (fridge, freezer, gas hob, oven, dishwasher, coffee maker and small appliances), 1 separate toilet and a toilet with shower accessible for disabled people. Upstairs, 1 dormitory comprising a space with 8 beds, and 2 cells with 2 beds each. 1 separate toilet and a shower with double basin. Cars can be parked along the street, to leave the courtyard free. In the courtyard, a toilet and washbasin area. Charcoal barbecue. Shops: Saint-Pierre des Nids has all the shops you need. If you're a hiker, you can have all meals (including breakfast) delivered by the restaurant La Source, in La Ferrière-Bochard, 02 33 26 65 28, to be ordered before your arrival. You're also close to Mont des Avaloirs, the Saint Cénéri le Gerei leisure park, with its kayak station, tree-climbing course... and the Saint Léonard des Bois leisure park, each 10-12km away. Very soon (2023), a new GRP will enable a long loop around Mont des Avaloirs. To be continued.

Possibility of overnight stays during the week: 15€/pers/night.
Possibility of renting the room by the day: 180€/day (140€ in July-August).
The gîte can only be rented by 1 group or family at a time. Reservations are therefore essential. No sharing of the structure possible.
Pets accepted.
Weekend stays: arrival 4pm and departure 4pm
3 to 6-night stays: arrival Saturday 4pm and departure Friday 8pm (example).
