Le gîte du Moulin

If you look out of your window along the Mayenne river and towpath, you'll discover the exceptional site of the Neuville lock. This towpath has become the Vélofrancette, a bicycle trail offering all the services you need to enjoy a stay on the water. Live the Slowlydays spirit! On foot, on horseback, by bike, by canoe or by boat, Evelyne and Lucien will tell you all about the Mayenne region and guide you to all its treasures: small restaurants, local producers (llama wool, meat, vegetables...). You'll enjoy the restaurant Les Copains d'abord nearby, and a tea room a stone's throw away. If you're bringing horses, we can put them in the field of 2.5ha fenced field, with 3 paddocks. If you have bicycles, you can leave them in a closed garage. By bike, you're only 20 minutes from the City of Château-Gontier (8km) via the towpath, so you can enjoy the Refuge de l'Arche (wildlife park), the Marina and the Canotika harbor office (bike and boat rentals), water complex, museum and theater (scène nationale Le Carré). The City also offers a full range of shops and restaurants, and if you're planning to stay in large numbers, there are other accommodation options at Neuville Lock: Le Moulin de Neuville (10 people) H53G019721. Bed and breakfast is also available on the other side of the river, at Chambres d'hôtes du Parc (up to 4 people) H53H010699: you'll be transported by a small boat.

Ground floor: 40m² living room with fitted kitchen, bathroom with walk-in shower and separate toilet.
1st floor: 2 bedrooms - 1 bedroom with a double bed (140x190) - 1 bedroom with 2 single beds (90x190). Wifi. Television.
Access from living room to private wooden terrace on one side (not enclosed), and on the other to enclosed garden with parking area overlooking the Mayenne river. Charcoal barbecue. Shed for bikes or motorcycles. 2.5ha land for horses.
Baby: cot, high chair, changing mat.
Options :
Housework 50€ for stays of 1 to 14 nights (mandatory for professionals).
Sheets optional: 10€ per pair/stay, towels optional: 10€/pers/stay.
Heating: 7€/night on account of charges (from 15/10 to 15/4), assessed at end of stay by meter reading with owner. If overrun: pay owner directly.
Pets not accepted.
Weekend stays: Friday 5pm to Sunday 5pm.
3 to 7-night stays: arrival 5pm on 1st evening, departure 10am on last morning.
