The Gîte de la Roche is ideally situated for fishing on the river. Quiet, with an independent, unoverlooked garden, it's close to the Vélo Francette towpath. Great for walking and cycling. Possibility of visiting the calves and milking the cows, depending on the owners' availability. Farm 45m away. All shops 5km away in Château-Gontier sur Mayenne (access via the towpath). Château-Gontier is famous for its Refuge de l'arche (wildlife park), its marina with electric boat, VAE or muscle bike rentals, its aquatic center, its historic center and its gardens. Other attractions include the Robert Tatin museum (open-air museum) in Cossé-le-Vivien. The city of Angers, 50km away: its center, castle and medieval fortress, the Apocalypse tapestry, the David d'Angers museum, the Terra Botanica park... Fishing on the Mayenne, 40m from the gîte, accessed by a path: pike-perch, catfish, eel, pike, roach... Federal fishing card required. Fishing lodge in the laundry room.
