La Prise d'eau is a highly original gîte: from its heart came the water that powered the steam trains! You can see what's left of it in the living room thanks to a glass floor. It's truly exceptional! You'll love the spacious living areas (37m²), with a kitchen opening onto a large living room with fireplace, complemented by a luminous veranda opening onto a wooden terrace overlooking the garden and offering a view of the river, the Vicoin. 2 bedrooms (1 with a 160*190 bed and 1 with 2 90*190 beds). Separate WC. Bathroom with shower cubicle and heated towel rail. The private garden is partly fenced (an open area remains), mostly lawn, with a pétanque court and swing set. Fixed barbecue, garden furniture and private parking. For your leisure activities, the "voie verte" (bicycle-pedestrian path) is just 500m away. For a day out, head for Saint-Berthevin: forest, swimming pool, river and restaurant. Alternatively, head for L'Huisserie and the Mayenne towpath, known as the Vélo Francette (Caen to La Rochelle). Hiking and horse-riding trails start from the gîte. Laval is a 10-minute drive away: theater, museum, cinema, golf course, marina, boat and bike rentals, and of course the historic heart of Laval with its medieval château and 17th-century dwelling. The Vieux-Château houses the Musée d'Art naîf et d'Arts singuliers de Laval (MANA). Henri Rousseau, known as the Douanier, a native of Laval, illustrates this artistic movement. The river, the Vicoin (2nd category), offers the possibility of fishing according to the water level of the river - fishing card obligatory. The gîte offers a fishing room with water point and fridge, outside the house. Sheets not provided, optional 8€ per pair. Professional stay: 3 people maximum. Cleaning and linen options compulsory. 1 cleaning for 1 to 14 nights. Weekend stay: arrival on Friday end of day - departure on Sunday during the day. Stay from 1 to 7 nights: arrival at the end of the day and departure at 10am. If cleaning is not included in the price, a cleaning deposit of 80€ must be paid on arrival (returned at the end of the stay if cleaning is complete).

Gîte description - Ground floor: large 37m² living room with fully-equipped kitchen (oven - fridge with freezer compartment - microwave - coffee maker - kettle - toaster - dishwasher - raclette machine) and lounge (fireplace, DVD player, TV). Veranda 18m² - Terrace overlooking the river -1 bedroom 15m² with 1 bed 160*190 and large closet - 1 bedroom 11m² with 2 beds 90*190 2 bedrooms and closet - Shower room with washbasin, shower tray and electric heated towel rail - separate WC.
Bicycle room - Hard-cast charcoal barbecue - Petanque court - Children's swing - Fishing area and washing machine (fridge - sink).
First floor: mezzanine with sofa-bed, desk and games area.
Baby equipment: cot, high chair, bathtub. Please ask for availability.
Wifi - Television.
Heating by heat pump and radiant heater, payment on meter reading (> 8kWh/d) with owner, to be paid to owner at end of stay.
If you do not take the cleaning option, a cleaning deposit cheque will be requested on arrival and returned at the end of your stay.
