If you'd like to discover the small village of Saulges and its Natura 2000 site with its prehistoric caves, come and stay with Carole and Laurent. 2 guest rooms with independent kitchens and essential services to extend your stay. In the heart of the village, near the 2 churches and the gourmet restaurant l'Ermitage. Follow the hiking trails (PR and GR) into the Erve valley and caves for an immersion in prehistory and geology. The Museum of Prehistory, with its modern scenography, is a must-see for its collections and its many workshops/activities for adults and children (follow the program). You can also enjoy a snack or meal at the Taverne des grottes, by the river. The Erve has carved out a canyon, accentuating the gradients: valley, hillsides, Japanese steps, fields grazed by Ouessan sheep, others by Auroch (ancestor of our domestic cattle). A FFME-certified climbing site with beginner and advanced zones. In place since 1988, the equipment (rings or quick links at the top of the routes, sealed spindles) enables practice on over 160 routes from 10m to 25m in height. In summer, Saulges offers a natural swimming pool. Shops and services: Vaiges (10km) or Meslay du Maine (14km). On-site, if you need a meal, jars are available for direct sale from the producer (local producers). Garage for bikes and motorcycles. Possibility of parking a car in the fenced-in courtyard.
