In the heart of the Alpes Mancelles, the Holiday cottage La Bataille, located on the Trotté estate, welcomes you to an idyllic natural setting. At the foot of the Sarthe river, enjoy directly accessible walks and a peaceful environment lulled by the sound of water. The Holiday cottage has 2 bedrooms and a terrace where you can relax in the heart of nature. There are numerous Hiking trails nearby, perfect for discovering Mont des Avaloirs and the western part of the Normandie-Maine Regional Nature Park. Below the Holiday cottage, the Sarthon joins the Sarthe, in a remarkable natural site at the crossroads of the Mayenne, Sarthe and Orne rivers. The Trotté estate is a communal area open to the public. The village of Saint-Pierre-des-Nids, 4 km away, offers a full range of local shops. Leisure activities: Base de loisirs and canoeing at Saint-Céneri-le-Gérei (just over 1 km away), as well as numerous activities at Saint-Léonard-des-Bois (accrobranche, rock-climbing, ULM). Fishing in the river is possible at the foot of the Holiday cottage (card required). Saint-Céneri-le-Gérei, one of France's most beautiful villages, is nearby. LEVEL 1: bedroom 1 (18m²): 1 bed 140*190, chest of drawers and wardrobe - landing (8m²): desk.
LEVEL 2: mezzanine (12m² on floor, 4m² at 1.80m) - bedroom 2 (12m² at 1.80m): 3 beds 90*200, chest of drawers, height from bedroom entrance: 1.50m.
Baby equipment on request: Umbrella bed, high chair.
Enclosed grounds with terrace, one-piece dining table with bench, deckchairs, parasol, charcoal barbecue.

Isabelle séjour rando
Gîte bien rénové et agréable, assez confortable, plutôt bien équipé (manque des patères dans l'entrée pour accrocher les manteaux ainsi que dans la salle de douche pour les vêtements ... une table basse dans le séjour serait appréciable ) .Très bien situé pour les départs de randonnées et dans un cadre très agréable. Le jardin clos est très pratique lorsqu'on vient avec son chien.
MAIS personne pour l'accueil à l'arrivée (boite à clés à l'entrée et cadeau d'accueil sur la table de cuisine ) personne pour le départ, des échanges par SMS avec l'agent municipal et pas de solution quand vous avez un problème pendant le week- end ... il faut attendre le lundi matin que l' agent informe la mairie ! ou vous débrouiller tout seul... nous ne sommes pas dans l'esprit gîtes de France et c'est bien regrettable.
A savoir pour les geeks : pas de connection internet, pas de réseau, et télévision aléatoire.

SandrineB Excellent séjour dans un cadre magnifique
Rien à voir avec les photos du site, tout a été refait. C'est aménagé avec goût et tout ce qui était réclamé dans les précédents commentaires est proposé à présent ( grille pain, bouilloire, parasol, transat...). Il y a beaucoup de promenades à faire dans les environs. Une mention particulière pour le jardin de Mr Juhel, à Saint Céneri, ouvert au public jusqu'en octobre (exposition de ses magnifiques photos dans son jardin extraordinaire).
Tout est reposant...

Cécile 49 Tranquillité et dépaysement
Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans le gîte de la Bataille du 01/07/2024 au 06/07/2024. Nous avons apprécié l'environnement du gîte, il est très bien situé à proximité de Saint Céneri le Gérei l'un des plus beau village de France. Et ayant un gros chien, nous avons également apprécié son jardin clos. Le gîte est spacieux et bien équipé, les pièces sont grandes.
