In the valleys of the Mayenne, a lovely, comfortable country house, with its open barn for sheltered moments in all seasons. Large fully-equipped kitchen, very spacious living room with wood-burning stove and sofa bed (5th and 6th bed - supplement 15 €/pers/night). Two bedrooms, each with 2 twin beds 90*200. Inflatable spa heated in season (May-September). Beds made, linen and utilities included. Site with numerous hiking trails - even from the gîte, voie verte la Vélo Francette 2.5km away. Not to be missed: the small town of Lassay-les-Châteaux (14km), with its 3 castles, including the château-fort, its gardens, signs and old-fashioned shop windows, where you can enjoy a pleasant stroll. Local shops 2.5km away, including La Chapelle au Riboul. Professional stay: 2 people maximum - housekeeping mandatory (1 per stay from 1 to 14 nights).

FITTED KITCHEN 26m² with fridge, freezer compartment, oven, 4-burner hob, microwave, filter and pod coffee maker, kettle, toaster, mixer, whisk - LIVING ROOM 33m² with TV, wood-burning stove, armchairs and a convertible sofa 160x200, curtains to separate the space from the kitchen - BEDROOM 1 of 12m² and BEDROOM 2 of 13m² each with 2 twin beds 90x200, storage space.
Heating and air-conditioning with heat pump.
Open 70m² barn with garden furniture, 4 deckchairs and 4-seater Lay-Z inflatable spa, heated from May to September. Weber charcoal barbecue.
Baby equipment: 1 cot with 1 mattress (bring your own sleeping bag) - bathtub - changing mat - high chair. Please let us know before arrival if you wish to bring your own equipment.
315m² fully enclosed grounds - children's swing - racket games - board games.
INCLUDED: beds made - bathroom linen - kitchen linen - electric heating and air-conditioning - wood for stove.

George A great place: calm, comfortable, clean, well appointed, thoughtful touches & excellent hosts.
A big thank you to Régine and Thierry for a lovely stay. The accommodation is great - spacious living and kitchen/dining spaces, a kitchen with everything you need and fantastic outdoor spaces for both children and adults, and comfortable beds.
From the perspective of a travelling parent, it really felt like Régine had thought of everything. We hadn't requested anything except the cot for our 1-2 year old but they had provided a baby bath (there is only a shower, but it's big and nice), a taller chair for our 4 year old and a proper high chair for the baby. The baby's cot even came made up with a mattress and sheets - this never happens in England, so that was a big bonus. It felt really safe for the children outside, being enclosed (but with long, lovely views over the countryside). It felt like the gîte was very newly converted from the barn it once was and everything was spotless in terms of cleaning. It is a very quiet and calm location, very relaxing, but within a short drive to the local village and about 15-20 mins to Mayenne by car. Plenty of information left out about local attractions, restaurants, markets etc. If you're coming from the UK, it is a straight-forward, pretty, toll-free 1h45 drive from the ferry at Ouistreham.
Both Régine and Thierry were very helpful both and at our arrival, accommodating last minute changes (Brittany Ferries...) and a very early start on our departure. There were some eggs, homemade jam, juice and buns left for us on arrival which was a thoughtful touch, as were the tasteful Hallowe'en decorations, which our children liked especially. It would be equally well-suited a place to retreat to without children...

Claudine Hébergement spacieux, agréablement situé
Un excellent séjour dans ce gîte très confortable, lumineux, très bien équipé et une hôtesse aux petits soins pour ses hôtes. En plus la région de haute-Mayenne mérite vraiment d'être découverte (paysages, châteaux à visiter, petites cités de caractères pour des promenades bucoliques).

Michelle The place was absolutely beautiful. So private and peaceful. The house was 5 star.
The kitchen was so well equipped, with 2 coffee machines. There were plenty of towels. They have Netflix’s , which was great. The outside area was great and the hot tub was lovely and clean. We did struggle to find it, as I got confused which address was the gite, but Régine was really helpful. The only thing we would change would be a hand tail on the stairs to the lounge and a grab rail in the shower. Mum had to go out the kitchen door and in through the patio doors to access the lounge. It was a magical place and we sooo loved it. We are going to book for next year too, it was that good xxx
