Come and discover a troglodyte gîte in the commune of Le Puy-Notre-Dame. This dwelling, dug right into the tufa rock, invites you to enjoy a unique experience and admire this beautiful renovation, while enjoying the comforts of a classic gîte. These troglodytic dwellings, which are very common in the Anjou region, represent a unique historical and cultural heritage in France. As you enter the gîte, the central room features a dining area, a living room with sofa, coffee table and TV. A fully-equipped kitchen is an extension of this room. There's also a large bedroom with a 140cm bed, a small bedroom with two 90cm beds, a bathroom with shower and vanity unit, and a separate toilet. From the living room, you access a small south-facing patio with garden furniture. Upstairs, you'll find garden furniture for meals. Access to the gîte from the parking lot is via a slope and a few steps. Your private outdoor area is enclosed by a gate and is not overlooked. The owner's house is nearby, but your entrance and parking area are separate. The gîte is south-facing, perfectly healthy in all seasons. All rooms have windows and/or doors to the outside. You'll appreciate the coolness of the place, especially in summer. For periods with lower temperatures, the central heating in each room will provide you with a cosy atmosphere. You'll be just 2.5km from the Thouet river and the Vélofrancette cycle route for cycle-touring enthusiasts. There are plenty of places to visit nearby: Montreuil Bellay and its 12th- and 15th-century château are 10 minutes away, Doué la Fontaine and its Biopark are 15 minutes away, Saumur's bubble cellars, the Cadre Noir, the château and the Loire River are 23 minutes away... Not forgetting the many wine estates, vineyards and picturesque villages of the Douessine region. Possibility of renting both gîtes at the same address for 8 people.
