In the heart of the Anjou vineyards, 27 km from Angers and 20 minutes from the banks of the Loire in the commune of Rablay-sur-Layon (Bellevigne en Layon), you'll be staying in this small, independent gîte. This former 18th-century chapel, which the owners have renovated with respect for the building and the environment, is nestled in a green setting. The emphasis is on natural materials: terracotta floor tiles and lime/hemp rendering. The exposed beams and old tufa stone wall with its beautiful moldings reflect the history of the place. In the 20m² living room, you'll find a fully-equipped kitchen: fridge with freezer, 5 gas rings, microwave, table-top oven, filter and Senseo coffee maker, raclette and crêpe party machine, a relaxation area with sofa bed (can accommodate two extra people on request) and a TV with DVD player. Go upstairs via the steep Japanese staircase. The small bedroom (surface area 7m² at a height of 1m80 and 10.50m² on the floor) will allow you to admire the ancient roof structure. It has a 160 cm bed and storage space. A window opens onto the heights of the living room, and a newly-installed velux window offers a view of the hills. Bathroom with shower, vanity unit and toilet on first floor. Outside, the quiet, unspoilt surroundings are ideal for relaxing moments.
