Les Charmilles

At the edge of the woods and in a quiet location, perfect for a stay with family or friends: welcome to Les Charmilles! Located in the village of Fontaine-Guérin, close to the owners' home, this gîte with heated pool is the ideal base from which to explore the many nuggets of the region: Saumur, with its famous black frame and château, is 30 minutes away (direct access via the A85); Angers, with its Château des Ducs d'Anjou, Terra Botanica plant park and historic city center, is 35 minutes away; the Châteaux de la Loire, troglodyte caves, museums, ... and the beautiful walks along the banks of the Loire, particularly by bike along the Loire à vélo route. If you're a wine-lover, you can sample the region's many appellations directly from the local growers! Halfway between Angers and Saumur, the gîte comprises : First floor: - A living room with dining area, fully-equipped kitchen, fireplace (insert) and TV. - A bedroom with two 90cm x 190cm beds (one bed can be removed to make way for a healthcare bed) - A bathroom with walk-in shower and separate toilet. First floor: - A living room with sofa, TV, reading area with two club chairs and a reading light, books and board games for the whole family. - Two bedrooms: one with two 90cm X 190cm beds and the second with a 160cm X 200cm bed. The outdoors is a delight for young (and old) alike! Private terrace with garden furniture, barbecue and parasol to enjoy the fine weather. From June, the heated swimming pool (depth: 1.4m, flat bottom, length: 9m, width: 4.5m) is available to share with the occupants of the second gîte on site! Numerous outdoor games are also available: table tennis, swing, slide, molkky, pétanque... Included in rental price: wi-fi connection, electricity and heating (electric) Additional charge: wood heating (€60 per stere depending on consumption)
