Le Verdelay

300m from the banks of the Loire, elegant and spacious bed and breakfast on a wooded property with heated Piscine. Situated on the upper floors of this character house built of local tuffeau stone, the rooms all feature views over the 1.4-hectare grounds. A beautiful interlude for a peaceful stay! On the program: walks or bike rides along the Loire and its villages (Le Thoureil, Saint Mathurin sur Loire, ...), a 20-minute visit to the City of Saumur, famous for its château, Cadre Noir and wines; or simply relax by the Piscine or in the shade of one of the property's magnificent trees. At Le Verdelay, breakfasts are served in the dining room, or on the terrace on sunny days: coffee, tea, fruit juices, homemade cakes, pastries from the village bakery, jams... and for those with a sweet tooth, cheese and charcuterie are available on request. Stéphane and Sandrine will be delighted to share their tips and addresses for exploring the region. For cyclists, the village center is 5 minutes from the house (bakery, butcher's shop, mini-market, etc.) and the main Loire à Vélo circuit is 15 minutes away. 3 spacious rooms named after traditional boats: - La Toue Cabanée: on the second floor, with its antique parquet floor, bluish hues, en-suite shower room and private toilet accessible from the landing. - The "Gabare" family suite: on the second floor, with its spacious, comfortable bedroom in soft colors, its bathroom with walk-in shower, bath and toilet, and its second bedroom in warmer colors, ideal for families. - Le Fûtreau": on the second floor, a bedroom with exposed tufa stone and en-suite shower room with WC. Each room comes with a courtesy tray: kettle, tea/coffee, water. Shared microwave and fridge available in the breakfast room. The Piscine is heated in season (May to September, weather permitting - 5mx10m, depth 1m to 1.70m - to be shared with guests of the Holiday cottage on the same property) - Closed parking on the property - Free WiFi - Baby equipment on request (cot and high chair).
