300m from the banks of the Loire, charming air-conditioned house with heated swimming pool in a quiet, wooded setting. Just 20 minutes from Saumur, "Le Verdelay" Holiday cottage in La Ménitré is within easy reach of typical Loire villages (Le Thoureil, Gennes, ...). By car, by boat, on foot, by bike or in a hot-air balloon: whichever route you take, you'll succumb to the charm of the Loire landscapes in a UNESCO World Heritage site. Famous for its troglodytes and wines, the Saumur region is sure to delight heritage lovers. Arranged over 2 levels, the Holiday cottage opens onto a delightful living room with the charm of yesteryear: terracotta floor tiles, exposed beams, bread oven, tufa stone... for an immersion in the past! Ground floor: living room with fully-equipped kitchen (oven, microwave, induction hob, dishwasher, etc.), sitting area with TV, separate toilet. Upstairs: two small, cosy bedrooms, each with two 80x200cm beds (separate or joined as required), TV. A shared shower room (walk-in shower, vanity unit, WC). You'll enjoy an outdoor area with garden furniture and barbecue, the outdoor Piscine heated from May to September depending on the weather (5mx10m, depth 1m to 1.70m, to be shared with guests of the guest house) and the 1.4-hectare wooded park (watch out for kids: drinking and pond on the property). On the property: the owners' house, who will be delighted to advise you on what to do in the area, and three bed and breakfast rooms, should you wish to host friends or family during your stay. Shops 2.5km away: bakery, butcher's,... - Free WiFi - Private washing machine - Private parking on the property - Baby equipment on request (cot and high chair) Comfort guaranteed: Beds made on arrival, housekeeping included, bathroom linen and pool towels. Andrew Outstanding Gite in a beautiful setting. Sandrine was very welcoming.
Everything was perfect, from the welcome to the quality of the accommodation. Absolutely faultless all round. One of the nicest Gites by far that we have ever stayed in. The pool was really enjoyed by our kids - it was in superb condition. And the aircon was very welcome on a couple of nights. We would stay again if nearby without hesitation.

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour. Tout était parfait dans le gîte, la literie, le linge fourni, la vaisselle, la propreté, les différentes TV et surtout la climatisation ! Accueil parfait avec des jolies attentions gourmandes. Piscine parfaite dans un domaine reposant et joliment fleuri. L'emplacement non loin des bords de Loire entre Saumure et Angers est idéal pour découvrir cette belle région qui ne manque pas d'activités !
