Le Cloître des Dames

Welcome to La Gaucherie Aux Dames, in the rolling countryside of the Vallée du Lys, between Cholet and Saumur. In a calm, soothing environment surrounded by nature, the gîte is located in an old convent that has been renovated, retaining its beautiful stonework, beams and exposed beams. From the small covered terrace with its magnificent view over the countryside, you enter the 18m² living room, which includes a small lounge with TV, a dining area and a small kitchen with sink, 2 hotplates, fridge, mini-oven and microwave oven. Also on the first floor is the first bedroom (14m²) with 2 beds (90x190cm), private shower room and separate toilet. Upstairs is the second bedroom (9m²), on a mezzanine open to the living room, with a 140x190cm bed, shower room with vanity unit and toilet. Outside, enjoy the garden furniture and barbecue, and admire the view at your leisure. A small pond, lit in the evening, makes for a bucolic setting. The river below the gîte invites you to relax. You can even picnic there if you wish. Enjoy a stay in the heart of nature, surrounded by horses, sheep and cows. Hiking, mountain biking and horse-riding trails are all close to the gîte. Nearby, discover the Doué la Fontaine Biopark in 20 minutes, Saumur in 40 minutes, Angers in 45 minutes and the Puy du Fou in 50 minutes. You can also visit Camifolia in Chemillé, the Parc Oriental in Maulévrier, the Musée des Métiers in Sevremoine, and of course the vineyards of Anjou-Saumur and the Layon valley. The gîte is located in a hamlet with the owners' house, 4 tourist accommodations in all, and the farm (sheep, flower seed and strawberry cultivation).
