Highlights in the area include Saumur, with its castle overlooking the Loire and its famous black frame 15 minutes away, the biopark at Doué-en-Anjou 30 minutes away, the châteaux of the Loire (Saumur 15 minutes away, Chinon 35 minutes away, Azay-le-Rideau 40 minutes away), the royal abbey of Fontevraud 20 minutes away, not forgetting the walks and bike rides along the Loire (with a refreshing break in one of the many guinguettes open in season). Situated on the wine route, 3km from the freeway exit, La Thibaudière is a character property built of tufa stone (18th century): - A living room available to guests, with lounge/dining area, fridge and microwave. Breakfasts, served in this room or on the terrace outside, include home-made yoghurts and cakes, bread and pastries made by a local Bakery, several varieties of honey, tea, coffee, chocolate... A great way to start the day! - Two bedrooms upstairs in the owners' house: the Champigny room, with two 100cm X 200xm beds and a 90cm X 190cm bed, and the Bourgueil room, with a 160cm X 200cm bed. Both rooms are air-conditioned. - In a garden-level outbuilding, two bedrooms: the Chinon room, with a 160cm X 200cm bed and a 90cm X 190cm bed, in a 1.7m-high mezzanine with sloping ceilings, and the second Saumur room, with a 160cm X 200cm bed and two 90cm X 190cm beds in a 1.7m-high mezzanine with sloping ceilings. Each room has its own TV, shower room and separate WC. Outside, you can enjoy sunny days on one of the many garden furniture. GLUTEN-FREE breakfast available on request. Wifi connection in the living room, on the terrace and in the Champigny and Bourgueil rooms. To make the most of the mildness of Anjou, we offer a Spa area.
