La Maison du Louet

Close to the River Louet, in the charming hamlet of Mantelon, this blue-shuttered house will delight you with its calm, leafy setting. This old house with terracotta floor tiles and exposed beams features a fully-equipped kitchen with dining area and a living room with TV and working fireplace, promising warm winter evenings. There's also a toilet and washing machine on the first floor. The staircase leads to the bedroom with double bed (160x200cm) and direct access to the outside, then upstairs to the light-filled mezzanine with shower and WC. The Holiday cottage's special feature: the shower opens directly onto the mezzanine, and the shower room with washbasin and WC is directly opposite (see photos). The mezzanine can accommodate a further 2 people, but has no blackout blinds to plunge the room into total darkness. Outside, the fully enclosed garden (with low walls) is ideal for relaxing (parasol, garden furniture, electric plancha, deckchairs). Beds made on arrival and bathroom linen provided. Right next to the Holiday cottage is the GR3, which follows the Loire from its source to its estuary, offering you a diversity of landscapes: vineyards, floodplain meadows, forests, mariners' villages, troglodytes... Nature and heritage lovers will be delighted. The island of Béhuard is 10 minutes away by car and 1h15 away on foot. The Holiday cottage is 15 minutes from the A87 motorway and 25 minutes from Angers and the Terra Botanica plant park. You can park your car right in front of the Holiday cottage, near the gate. Just 5 minutes from the Holiday cottage, take the Loire wine route and the Corniche Angevine to admire breathtaking panoramic views over the Loire and Louet valleys, and don't forget to stop off at an estate to taste some local wine. You can also stop off at one of Chalonnes sur Loire's restaurants or spend an evening at a guinguette. End-of-stay housekeeping not included in rental price: option charged at €80.
