La Grange du Thouet

Calm and serenity are the watchwords of a stay at La Grange du Thouet. Located in a charming hamlet on the banks of the Thouet river, the gîte is housed in an old barn on the edge of a path reserved exclusively for pedestrians and cyclists, the vélofrancette. It's the perfect place to set off on a ride straight from the gîte! Your stay will be an opportunity to discover the many cultural, historical and gastronomic treasures of the Saumur Loire region. The gîte, located in Artannes-sur-Thouet, opens on the first floor onto a fully-equipped kitchen (including a Nespresso coffee maker for coffee lovers - don't hesitate to bring your own capsules), with a Gllum is cool dining area. Adjoining the kitchen is a spacious living room with sofas and flat-screen TV. Separate WCs complete the first floor. Upstairs are two bedrooms. The first has a double bed (160cm X 200cm) and the second has three single beds (90cm X 190cm). Beds are made up on arrival and bed linen is included in the price. A shower room and separate WC are also located upstairs. Outside, you'll be charmed! With a view over the Thouet river, you can enjoy your meals on the garden furniture in total peace and quiet, and even in the shade with a deported parasol. Barbecue, acapulco chairs, children's games (mini-golf) will be there to punctuate your days. The garden is enclosed and planted with trees. Thanks to its location, you'll be able to discover the many treasures of our region. Many of the Loire castles are within easy reach: Montreuil-Bellay is 12 minutes away, Saumur 18 minutes and Chinon 35 minutes. You can also visit the Royal Abbey of Fontevraud and its museum of modern art 15 minutes away. The Doué-en-Anjou Biopark is 22 minutes away. Walking and cycling along the Loire à vélo itinerary 12 km away. Saumur, with its armored car museum and famous Cadre Noir, is 15 minutes away.
