From the street, you'll reach the gîte by descending ten or so steps to the gravelled terrace, equipped with garden furniture for outdoor meals, a barbecue, deckchairs and a parasol. Below, you'll find a large cellar dug into the tufa rock, and a sloping lawn to access it. The garden, in a troglodyte environment, is fully enclosed. The 60 m² gîte comprises a 32 m² living room with fitted kitchen opening onto the lounge and dining area. Upstairs you'll find a 9m² bedroom with a 140x190cm bed and a second 12m² bedroom with two 90x200cm beds. A shower room with large shower and vanity unit and a separate toilet complete this level. Comfort guaranteed: beds are made up on arrival and bathroom linen is provided. No private parking. Small parking space available 10 meters from the gîte entrance for one car (narrow alley). Otherwise, free public parking 30 meters away. No internet connection. The accommodation is not suitable for people with mobility difficulties. From this vacation rental near Saumur and the banks of the Loire (13 minutes), you'll be ideally situated for visiting the towns along the Loire: Parnay, Turquant, Montsoreau, Candes Saint Martin... Shops are located in Distré, 9 minutes away, and Doué la Fontaine, 18 minutes. Cycling: you'll be 1.3km from the Vélo Francette cycle route, which runs alongside the Thouet river. You can store your bikes in the gîte (in the tuffeau cellar or in the enclosed courtyard).
