La Bergerie de Verdun

20 minutes south-west of Angers, not far from the banks of the Loire, stay in this comfortable gîte to recharge your batteries. This old stone building was renovated in 2021, retaining all its character: exposed stone walls and cathedral room with exposed oak roof frame. On 134m², you'll find: a large, bright 60m² living room with new, fully-equipped kitchen, large dining area, small table ideal for board games, lounge with sofa, armchairs and bench. In the night area : - a lovely 27m² master bedroom with 160 x 200cm bed, desk, sofa and private bathroom with large walk-in shower, vanity unit and toilet. - a second 13m² bedroom with 160 x 200cm bed (can be separated into 2 80cm beds) - a third 12m² bedroom with 2 90x190cm beds (can be combined to create a 180x190cm double bed). The second bathroom with bath, vanity unit and toilet is directly accessible from bedrooms 2 and 3. The room is decorated with pretty lamps, quality wooden furniture, pictures, mirrors, books and games... However, no television... disconnect and enjoy a stay in nature with many activities on offer on site: - Tennis court (don't forget your rackets) - Table tennis (rackets and balls provided) - 9m x 4m swimming pool (2m deep at its deepest), open from 17/6/24 to 10/9/24, heated, available to guests from 11am to 7pm, shared with the owners. From the living room, you have access to your private outdoor space: a quiet, unoverlooked area in the heart of nature, with garden furniture, lounge with armchairs and coffee table, barbecue, parasol. Parking for several vehicles on site. Wifi internet connection. On the owner's side, there is a pond (not secured) 50m from the gîte, but not visible from the gîte. The owners, who live on the same property, will be able to advise you on activities to do in the vicinity of the gîte. Down the road: the kangaroo garden and the "L'Arche" park with its miniature golf course. You'll be 5 minutes from the Loire by car and 15 minutes by bike from the Loire cycle route. Nearby: the picturesque villages of Savennières, the island of Béhuard, the towns of Chalonnes-sur-Loire and Saint Georges-sur-Loire, including the Château de Serrant.
