Come and stay in this charming village house in Saint Rémy La Varenne, a commune on the banks of the Loire. Ideal for tourism, reach the cities of Angers and Saumur via the tourist route along the Loire in just 30 minutes by car and 1h30 by bike. This old house has retained all its charm, tastefully combining the old and the new. Tomettes, beautiful tuffeau fireplaces, exposed beams, old wooden staircase... You'll be won over by the chic, cosy ambience. [THE GITE] The entrance hall leads to a large 20m² fully-equipped kitchen, and a cosy living room with TV. On the 1st floor, the landing leads to the two 20m² suites, each with a 160x200cm double bed, shower, vanity unit and separate toilet, and a beautiful ornamental fireplace. On the 3rd level is the 13m² "dormitory" for 3 people with 3 beds 90x190cm (can accommodate 1 extra person on request). This level also has its own amenities: a bathroom with bathtub, vanity unit and separate toilet. Outside, a small gravel courtyard of approx. 30m². Opposite, across the street, is a garden with plenty of space for eating and a play structure for the Kids. [NEARBY] In the village, you'll find a number of shops: Small grocery store, tobacco bar, Restaurant. And in season, enjoy the typical Anjou guinguettes. Discover the river from another angle with cruises departing from La Ménitré or Saint Mathurin sur Loire. Enjoy cycling itineraries with La Loire à Vélo and La Vélo Francette. Taste locally-produced wines and visit the winegrowers' cellars. The villages of Le Thoureil, Chenehuttes-Trèves-Cunault are well worth a visit, between hillsides and troglodyte dwellings... A little further afield is the Royal Abbey of Fontevraud, and the typical villages of Montsoreau, Turquant... Not forgetting Saumur with its Cadre Noir.
