Diane Beautiful gite with all home comforts
Beautifully presented little gite, 250 m from beach. Off road secure parking. The gardens are extensive, secure, unoverlooked and provide both areas of sun and shade. Great for a young family: football goal, kids toys and bicycles all available. Bbq equipment and electric platter provided. Kitchen is fully equipped but local restaurant at 100m with a lunchtime three course meal at €14.90 means you don't have to! Free navette at top of road means you don't need to drive into town either. The loops can take you round the whole of the local area. La bernerie is a safe and easy walk (20 mins) or cycle. L'Oceanic serves the best moules frites I've tasted. Excellent service. The only downside is that this is not a hugely touristy area although we did visit Pornic, Préfailles St Nazairre and Nantes, all of which were easy to access. The upside is la Bernerie is truly a largely French seaside town. I think there are kids clubs though we did not investigate this. If you have a young family and like the simple pleasures of eating well, going to the beach, frequent local day or evening markets and relaxing, this would be an excellent choice. Maité and Christophe gave us a splendid welcome package too. Would thoroughly recommend.
