Former shoemaker's house renovated into a Holiday cottage, semi-detached, located in the village of Assérac (with local shops), 2 km from the salt marshes and footpaths, 5 km from the Sea, 11 km from Guérande and 20 km from La Baule. Free public parking in front of the cottage. 200 m² terrace and enclosed flower-filled garden (south-west facing).
Ground floor: bright living room with open-plan fitted kitchen, separate WC and linen room. 1st floor: 2 bedrooms (each with 140x190 bed) and shower room/wc. 2nd floor: open-plan attic bedroom (3 beds 90x190). Additional equipment included: wood-burning stove, wifi, cot. Included: bed linen (beds made on arrival). Not included: towels, end-of-stay cleaning and tourist tax.

The cobbler's house has turned a corner and become the Gîte du Mès!
To welcome you, we've renovated it with care and equipped it to make it functional, comfortable and friendly.
The gîte du Mès, as its name suggests, is located not far from the Mès marshes, in the heart of the village of Assérac, just a stone's throw from the GR34 and a stone's throw from the Côte d'Amour, the starting point for enjoying the sea or exploring the surrounding area (Parc de la Brière, Guérande salt marshes, Rhuys peninsula, Gulf of Morbihan).

Alice Excellent séjour a Asserac
Nous avons adoré notre séjour à Asserac. La maison était très bien aménagée et parfaite pour notre famille de 5. Le village a tous les commerces essentiels a quelques mètres, c'était super de traverser la rue pour aller a l'épicerie et au marché du mardi matin. Enfin les excursions dans les environs, comme le sentier de Pen Be a Pont Mahé, les marais a Pont d'Armes et les Jardins du Marais à Hoscas, nous ont beaucoup plu.

Josephine This was the best gite I've ever booked and stayed in.
Excellent place to stay, with beaches very close by. When the weather was glorious we had 2 days at La Mine d'Or plage in Penestin. Parked once at Parking de la source and the other day at the main car park, closer to the rocks. This beach is good for low tide. It has to be high tide for Pont Mahe plage. Amazing ice cream just along the road from the main car park after a day on the beach.
We had a carriage and boat ride at Breca (only in French language, carriage commentary easier to understand than punt). We went to St Nazaire and looked around the submarine Espardon (could have stayed longer and seen more attractions if we'd got there earlier). Brilliant time with Laure at Centre Equestre la Champagne, You need to know how to ride, but the Unique Experience was the highlight of our holiday for my daughter and I.
Guerande is a very pretty salt town. We visited the gatehouse Porte St Michel, very good. Look out for summer season activities.
We did a circular walk around the Asserac salt marshes to Pen Be and saw ibis. The whole holiday was remarkable for birds.
Lovely meal (pizza, moules etc) at Marcelino's in the village and the burger van was excellent. Tuesday is market day, maybe because it was August it was quite small when we were there, but the rotisserie chicken we ate was divine.
Can't fault the boulangerie opposite. Closed Wednesday from memory.- Cleanliness

Gite neuf, rénové avec gout. Idéalement situé pour découvrir la région. Nos hôtes sont accueillant et disponibles. Une très bonne boulangerie juste en face...cela ne gâche rien!

Florence Charmant gîte
La maison est rénovée avec soin et goût, parfaitement équipée et très bien située pour profiter de la région. Le jardin et la terrasse sont très agréables et nous avons été très bien accueillis. Je recommande ce gîte !
