Pech en gélis

A balcony overlooking the Montagne Noire Puylaurens towers 375 m above the Lauragais plain, at the gateway to the Montagne Noire, 50 km east of Toulouse and 25 km west of Castres.

Like its neighbors Saint-Félix-Lauragais and Montgey, the village was built on a puy (puech or puèg, in Occitan), giving it a privileged aerial position. Puylaurens is the birthplace of the famous Republican Marianne.

The gîte is located on the outskirts of the village, at Pech Gélis, an old farmhouse nestled into the hillside, with one of the most beautiful views of the Montagne Noire and the Pyrenees on the balcony in front of your eyes. The calm, wooded and flower-filled surroundings invite you to relax. Shops and services are nearby in the village. Lac de Saint-Ferréol is 15/20 minutes away, and Lac des Montagnès with its leisure center is 45 minutes away. The springs of the Canal du Midi and the deep forests of the Montagne Noire are just across the road. 40 minutes away is an unusual visit to the medieval village of Hautpoul, with its toy museum and suspended footbridge.

Gîte in a former farmhouse, adjoining a year-round dwelling. Large garden, solarium, portico. First floor: living room, kitchen, pantry. First floor: three bedrooms, shower room, wc. The three bedrooms sleep two, the first with a double bed (160x200), the other two with two single beds (90x190). Central heating. Baby equipment.
