Le Gîte de Raoul is a set of two adjoining Holiday cottages, Le Fénil and L'Oustal, which can be rented together to accommodate up to 8 people, or separately, in a lovingly restored former farmhouse. All brand-new, they are set on the edge of a small, little-traveled Countryside road, offering a calm and relaxing environment, ideal for getting away from it all. Situated at the crossroads of the Albigeois, Cordais Plateau and Ségala regions, they are ideally located for discovering the riches of the Tarn. The City of Albi, a UNESCO World Heritage site, boasts the majestic Sainte-Cécile Cathedral and the famous Toulouse-Lautrec Museum, housed in the Palais de la Berbie, which boasts the world's largest collection of the painter's works. You can also stroll through the narrow streets of the historic center or along the banks of the river Tarn. Nearby, the medieval village of Monestiés, listed as one of France's Most Beautiful Villages, is well worth a visit for its authentic charm. Not far away, the bastide town of Cordes-sur-Ciel takes you back in time with its cobbled streets, Gothic houses and artisan workshops. Lovers of heritage, Hiking and local gastronomy will find this an ideal base from which to explore a rich and unspoilt region. The Holiday cottage l'Oustal sleeps 5. It is accessed from the courtyard by a few steps leading to a pleasant covered terrace, perfect for outdoor meals. The interior comprises a bright living room with sofa seating area and television, and a fully-equipped kitchen with ceramic hob, oven, fridge-freezer, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker and espresso machine, etc. The Holiday cottage has two bedrooms, the first with a double bed 140x190cm, the second with a double bed 140x190cm + a single bed 90x190cm. Outside, the courtyard features garden furniture and a barbecue. In the basement, a laundry room shared with the other Holiday cottage is available: washing machine and tumble dryer dedicated to each accommodation, as well as space for storing bikes or motorcycles. For optimum comfort in all seasons, the Holiday cottage is equipped with reversible air conditioning and a wood-burning stove. Bed linen and towels provided, housekeeping included.
