In the heart of the Pays de Cocagne, the village of Vénès It lies on the Albi-Castres axis, almost equidistant from the royal bastide of Réalmont.

Away from the main road, the gîte is very quiet, and life here flows peacefully. The church bell, which rings the Angelus at 12pm and 7pm, sets the pace for village life. A quick glance at the map reveals that the gîte is in the center of the département, making it easy to discover the riches of the Tarn region. The bastide town of Réalmont la Charmante (13th century) and Lautrec, one of the most beautiful villages in France, famous for its pink garlic, are just around the corner.

Enjoy the gentle, serene landscapes of the Pays de Cocagne, made famous by the cultivation of pastel. A little further afield, Castres, World Heritage Albi, the Pays des Bastides, the Sidobre and its magical rock formations, etc...


The gîte adjoins year-round accommodation. With its simple, vintage comfort, it welcomes you to the heart of the old village of Vénès, in a peaceful setting.

First floor:
- kitchen with fridge-freezer, microwave, gas stove with oven, toaster, filter coffee maker and dishwasher.
- a courtyard accessible from the kitchen, with table soccer and washing machine.
- living/dining room with TV and board games. Room opening onto terrace and enclosed garden.
First floor:
- three bedrooms, two with 140x190cm double beds and one with 90x190cm single bed and iron cot.
- separate toilet,
- bathroom with bathtub with door and grab bar, sink and bidet.
Outside: swing, stone barbecue and small mobile barbecue and enclosed garden with gate.


Sheets and towels are not provided, so please bring your own. Cleaning service at end of stay extra. Oil-fired central heating.
