Lisle-sur-Tarn is THE bastide to visit, in more ways than one!
First of all, it's probably the first Bastide (founded shortly after 1229), and its Place aux couverts is the largest in the South-West. It's also the only Bastide port, bearing witness to a prosperous economic past when pastel and wine passed through the merchant town.
From its glorious past, Lisle sur Tarn has preserved its buildings with their distinctive architecture, some linked by "pountets", and of course... the expertise of its winegrowers! Le Patis is located right in the heart of the historic center, less than 200 meters from the Place aux Arcades, with its Sunday Market, restaurants and summer concerts.

Just 5 mns from the A68 motorway, halfway between Albi and Toulouse, Le Patis is the ideal place to discover the thousand-year-old Gaillacois Vineyard on foot or by bike, visit the magnificent bastides of the South-West, stroll from markets to aperitif-concerts or let yourself be told, here and there, a few Cathar epics.
