No, here you've gone beyond the pleasant vine-sown hillsides to the edge of the Forêt de Sivens, in a beautiful green setting. On one side of the forest are the hillsides of the Gaillac vineyards, twice a thousand years old, and on the other the Albigensian bastides, perched and fortified villages (Puycelci, Castelnau-de-Montmiral, Bruniquel), not forgetting the medieval city of Cordes-sur-Ciel.
Forest walks and discoveries of our heritage will make up the program of your vacation. And, of course, a trip to Albi to discover the Episcopal City, a World Heritage site.
Two gîtes at Le Gourpat, one for 6 people (Le Gourpat, ref 335) and the other for 4 (Le Chalet, ref G1578), which can be rented together for 10 people (Le Grand Gourpat, ref G1579).
Single-storey gîte adjoining the owners' home, with two terraces (shady or sunny), rear garden, garden furniture, barbecue. Table soccer, table tennis.
Large living room with fully-equipped open kitchen (sofa bed, TV, table, armchairs, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, oven...).
Double bedroom with 140x190cm bed. Private shower and washbasin.
Second bedroom for four, with bed 140x190cm and two beds 90x190cm.
Bathroom with shower and washbasin. Separate toilet.
Heating by wood-burning stove.
With us, you can get to know all our animals (ponies, mares, donkeys, biquettes, rabbits) on our meadows around the gîte, look for eggs in the henhouse and, depending on the season and production, pick your own vegetables...

En bordure de la forêt l'endroit est charmant et calme. Le gîte confortable et vaste offre un dépaysement appréciable. Les propriétaires, aimables et discrets, sont affables et attentionnés. Les nombreuses destinations touristiques et historiques proches concourent à la découverte de nos territoires et de leurs richesses.

New Hampshire Visito This is an excellent gîte. The place is beautiful, very well equipped (we cooked often), very clean, and the hosts are are wonderful, friendly, helpful, and generous. We ate delicious produce from their gardens. We liked using the wood stove for heat. We were entertained and amused by the animals -- the dog, chickens, rabbit, donkeys, and even a bird that kept visiting our front door. A superb location, with a forest where you can take walks. The local town of Lisle-sur-Tarn was previously unknown to us, but it is a gem. We love the region. Many thanks to the hosts. The only drawbacks: It is advertised as having wifi, but in fact it doesn't, so if you are wifi dependent, this could be a problem. (We figured out a workaround using cell access, which isn't too bad.) We never did get the television to work, but that was not a problem for us. To American visitors: Note that you are expected to bring your own towels (we didn't realize this), which would require lots of space in your suitcase, but our hosts generously lent us some. With those caveats, highly recommend! It was great.

Michèle et Jean-Alai Belle découverte
Nous avons trouvé dans ce gîte tout ce que nous cherchions pour nous et nos petits enfants de 4 ans: calme, silence, jardin privatif sans vis à vis, accès direct à la forêt, animaux de la ferme. Un accueil particulièrement chaleureux et attentionné des propriétaires Nathalie et Patrick. Le gîte est bien équipé et la literie est de bonne qualité.
