Located in the small hamlet of Secun, in Le Bez, the Mimosas Holiday cottage enjoys a privileged Location in the Sidobre, a unique territory where granite, rocky chaos and deep forests create a spectacular backdrop. Nearby, walks to Rocher Tremblant, Lake du Merle or Rivière des Rochers allow you to explore a rare natural heritage. The typical villages of Brassac and Burlats add a cultural and gourmet touch to your stay. Sail further afield to Castres and its houses on the River Agout, or Lautrec, famous for its mill and pink garlic. As you enter, you'll find a large, fully-equipped kitchen (with filter coffee maker). The wood-burning stove adds a warm atmosphere, ideal for chilly evenings or preparing chestnuts over crackling embers. The living room is just next door, down two steps, intimate, beautifully renovated between stone and wood. The modern shower room is also on the first floor, next to the separate toilet.
The left-hand staircase in the kitchen leads upstairs to a large, comfortably furnished bedroom under the roof, with two single beds and a 140cm double bed. The second staircase (in the living room) leads to the second, green-colored bedroom upstairs, with its double bed. A funny little window gives a beautiful view of the Forest-covered Mountain. The third yellow and pastel bedroom is next to the living room, and overlooks the valley. The staircases to the upper floors are not accessible for wheelchair users, one being a little steep and the other a Japanese step. Outside, the Holiday cottage invites you to immerse yourself in the surrounding nature. The Forest is easily accessible, offering picturesque paths through the trees. Enjoy a delicious alfresco breakfast on the balcony, breathe in the fresh air and relax on the garden loungers. The outdoor area is reached by crossing the small reception area, located just to the right of the Holiday cottage. You'll find a beautiful granite table, a barbecue and a parasol. Private parking is available around 250 meters away, with the possibility of unloading near the Holiday cottage. Pets allowed at extra cost and must be kept on a leash in the hamlet. The mobile network is sometimes limited, perfect for a gentle disconnect.
Wifi (fiber) is available in the Holiday cottage, but can be temperamental depending on the weather. In winter or mid-season, remember to bring slippers and suitable footwear. We supply cleaning and cooking utensils (salt and pepper), a tea towel, a bath mat, a hand towel and toilet paper. A breakfast basket is available on request, at a cost of €10/person/morning. It can be modified to suit your preferences, and is delivered directly to your Holiday cottage on arrival. Price can be adapted according to the age of the Kids, bookable only for Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays (possibility of ordering for one or more mornings), to be confirmed at least 2 days in advance. Here's what's on offer here, in addition to the magnificent Holiday cottages in the old granite buildings, comfortably renovated: - Enjoy the Zome, an unusual space where you can settle down on our soft cushions, make yourself a delicious cup of tea (available on site), and enjoy the absolute silence to recharge your batteries.
Sandra, a professional external practitioner, can come directly to the Zome to offer you: A personalized yoga class A deeply relaxing massage Sport: For the more active, we have fitness equipment at your disposal: weight bench, dumbbells, resistance and elastic bands, yoga mat and skipping rope.
- Treat yourself to local and seasonal products on sale in our small boutique area (honey, beer, syrups, jams, cookies, flour...) - Meet the local players thanks to our maps listing local restaurateurs, grocery stores, markets, producers, craftsmen and artists, within 30 minutes of your Holiday cottage - Enjoy moments of rest, idleness and calm by the fireside in winter, or on the grass in the deckchairs in summer, in the shade of a tree. We have books and comics, board games and tourist information available at reception... - Discover the Sidobre's Biodiversity with the fauna and flora exploration and discovery notebooks we provide. If you listen carefully, you'll hear toads, buzzards, deer, chickadees and green woodpeckers. If you're patient, you may see salamanders, newts and foxes. If you look carefully, you'll see footprints, deer nests, the ravages of the wild boar... The 4 seasons have their surprises, the Forest is changing, come and discover!
