Le Domaine de Montels

In the heart of an ancient estate of character, just a few minutes from Albi, a renovated house where yesterday's architecture meets comfort designed for stays with family or friends.

Situated on the site of the former Château de Montels, in Bellegarde-Marsal, this attractive house is part of a remarkable architectural ensemble, branded with brick arches and volumes typical of the local heritage. Just 10 minutes from Albi, it's the perfect place to combine sightseeing with a peaceful stay at the gateway to the Tarn valley, and from the Holiday cottage you can easily explore the whole of Albi and beyond. Albi is home to the UNESCO-listed Episcopal City, with Sainte-Cécile Cathedral, the Palais de la Berbie and the Toulouse-Lautrec Museum. Lovers of villages with character can also head for Cordes-sur-Ciel or Lautrec, famous for its mill and pink garlic, while further south, Ambialet seduces with its peninsula formed by a meander in the Tarn. Nearby, the Tarn valley is an inviting place for walking, cycling and outdoor activities. The Vineyard of Gaillac completes your stay, with its vineyards to discover and meetings with producers. Markets, cultural events and the local art of living will punctuate your vacation with a mix of discovery and relaxation. On the first floor, living spaces are divided between a fully-equipped independent kitchen (with Nespresso coffee maker), a cosy dining room featuring a wood-burning stove, and a living room with library, connected TV and board games. A separate WC creates a convivial setting for shared moments. Upstairs, four bright, air-conditioned bedrooms, each with its own shower room and WC.

Outside, the facilities naturally extend the life of the Holiday cottage: private garden, covered terrace with plancha and summer kitchen, and heated saltwater swimming pool (9x5m and 1.5m deep, open from mid-May to mid-September) installed on the site of the former stables, bringing a singular character to the whole. Leisure facilities - ping-pong table, petanque court, swing set - complete the on-site offer.
