La Rabaudié

The Gijou flows peacefully through the charming villages of Gijounet, Viane and Lacaze. One minute by car or 20 minutes on foot, the village of Viane has all shops and services, including a grocery store, bar-tobacco-press, café-restaurant, pizzeria, doctor and pharmacy.

.. In the valley, the charming mountain villages of Gijounet and Lacaze, and the green resort of Lacaune (casino, Espaces des Sources Chaudes, cross-country skiing depending on snow conditions).

THE GITE is independent and on one level, close to the owners' house. On one side of the gîte, you enjoy a sunny terrace overlooking the front courtyard, and on the other side, at the rear of the gîte, you have your own private grassed garden.

Electric heating and reversible air-conditioning in living room and bedroom.
Parking directly in front of the gîte. Shared courtyard with the owners, plus 2 chickens, 1 cat and, of course, Charly, Oli and Lili, the property's 3 donkeys, just waiting to be petted!



Rushing down from the Monts de Lacaune, the Gijou has managed to remain wild, carving out its bed in a wooded mid-mountain region of deep valleys and deep forests, home to chestnut trees and grapes in autumn.

At an altitude of 550m, La Rabaudié is a haven of peace, a little nest for two, ideal for recharging your batteries or taking part in gentle activities such as hiking, fishing (Lac de la Rabaudié 300m from the gîte, and a stream 100m away for category 1 fishing) or cycling on the voie verte located 1km from the gîte (bike repair kit available if required). As the seasons go by, you'll be able to appreciate the serenity and wildness of the valley.
