Europe's narrowest isthmus East of Albi, from St-Juéry, begins the upper Tarn valley

To the east of Albi, starting from Saint-Juéry, lies the upper Tarn valley. One of its most emblematic sites is the Ambialet peninsula, nestled in the heart of a spectacular meander: here, the Tarn forms one of the narrowest isthmuses in Europe, almost completely surrounding the village. This strategic location, branded by an eventful history, still preserves the remains of an ancient seigniorial castle, the church of Saint-Gilles and the Priory, built in the 11th century. The Holiday cottage is situated in the heart of this exceptional setting, between the banks of the Tarn and the path leading to the Priory, and your stay will unfold to the tranquil rhythm of the river. On site, you'll enjoy a wide range of activities: Fishing, canoeing, Hiking and walking around the peninsula. Every first weekend in August, the village festival brings together locals and visitors in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

Just a twenty-minute drive away, you can also reach the City of Albi, dominated by its famous Episcopal City, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a veritable architectural gem (Cathédrale Sainte-Cécile, Musée Toulouse Lautrec). The Holiday cottage, located in the very heart of the village of Ambialet, is situated on the presqu'île, at the foot of the presbytery and just 50m from the Tarn. It has an enclosed garden, garden furniture and a barbecue, perfect for relaxing outdoors.
The rooms are spacious and pleasant. First floor: fully equipped kitchen, living room and separate toilet. Upstairs: three bedrooms (two double beds, two single beds and a baby bed), a shower room and a second toilet. The price includes all utilities, for a worry-free stay.
