La Pouzaque

At the end of a narrow mountain road, La Pouzaque offers an exceptional natural site, at 500m altitude, in the heart of the vast wooded areas of the Montagne Noire.

From dark spruce forests to the luminous Contrast causse, home to the remains of a medieval town, via the Frayssinette stream and the rocky Rocalié bar, the La Pouzaque estate boasts a wide variety of environments, representative of the richness of the Parc Naturel Régional du Haut-Languedoc.
Benefiting from both Atlantic and Mediterranean influences, La Pouzaque is home to a wide variety of flora. The diversity of the environment is also conducive to wildlife, which lives here in peace in the L.P.O. (Ligue pour la Protection des Oiseaux) refuge.

In addition to welcoming children and environmental classes, La Pouzaque is perfectly suited to hosting vacation centers, family or friendly gatherings, sports groups (hikers, mountain bikers)...


A fully renovated former tenant farm, La Pouzaque comprises an accommodation building (the house), a natural camping area and outbuildings. The house has 66 beds, divided into 14 rooms and small dormitories (2 to 7 beds, most with bunk beds), several sanitary blocks, 2 dining rooms, 2 activity rooms, a professional kitchen, infirmary, library, games room...


Additional facilities
- 110m² heated function room (tables and chairs available), ideal for weddings or other receptions, with sound system and video projector.
- Natural camping area for 40 people, a hundred meters from the main building. Natural, quiet, shaded setting with access to camping sanitary facilities (5 showers, 5 toilets and 2 dry toilets + 2 large "sink" sinks). Fire area with grill and campfire area.
- Swimming pool open July-August,
- Bread oven for pizzas, breads and more,
- Educational garden with pond, aromatic plants...
- Animal park (donkey, sheep, goats), interpretation trail...
