La maison Bois (as it's always been called) has joined forces with the Occitan sun to become: "La petite maison bois et soleil".

Between Tarn and Aveyron, the Viaduc du Viaur (1902) spans the valley and its "traverses", 3800 tons of steel, it seems to rest there, as light as a feather, a harmonious blend of technology and nature. Discover the Planques chapel at the end of a shady path, the Thuriès dam with its 1920 power station and a whole range of Hiking trails.

Known for its mining past, Carmaux, the city of Jean Jaurès, is proud of its identity, personalized by its monuments: the Château de la Verrerie, the "Bureau de la Mine", the "Centrale", parks and the Musée de la Mine. All amenities and services: restaurants, shops, Friday Market, Cinema...

Just 5 minutes away, you can enjoy the cool waters of Lake de la Roucarié: supervised swimming, fitness trail, kids' games, rowing.
For fun family activities, there's Cap'découverte, a multi-purpose center built on the former open-cast mine site near Carmaux.
A 30-minute drive will take you to either Albi or Rodez, with their historic centers and Toulouse-Lautrec or Soulage museums, or to the Cité de Cordes-sur-Ciel via Monestiés, two of France's most beautiful villages.

The Holiday cottage is an atypical wooden house, built of stacked logs, completely independent from the rest of the house.
