La maison Fonvieille

Mom told me: "If I were 20 years younger, I'd build a Holiday cottage". And finally, the old barn has been completely renovated into a comfortable Holiday cottage, in the small village of Fauch, 10 minutes from Albi on the hillside towards the Monts de Lacaune.

In the heat of summer, you can feel the fresh air of the surrounding forests and valleys. Fauch is a small village well placed for exploring the region.

As well as Albi, with its magnificent Cité Episcopale (Sainte-Cécile cathedral, Palais de la Berbie housing the Toulouse-Lautrec museum) and its pedestrian streets of red brick, you can visit the Albigensian bastides, notably Cordes-sur-Ciel, discover the village of Lautrec, famous for its mill and pink garlic, the City of Gaillac and its many wines or Castres and the Sidobre with its enigmatic rocks.

Or take a trip around Lake Bancalié, take advantage of the hiking and mountain-biking trails, visit the Razisse dam and go horse-riding, admire the view from the Ambialet presbytery....

This Holiday cottage has been created in an old barn adjoining the family grandparents' dwelling house (occupied by the granddaughter, her family and her dogs). It has its own entrance and shares the garden with the owners. Access is via a staircase leading to the terrace (garden furniture). The Holiday cottage is located on the first floor, and comprises a main room with open-plan kitchen, two bedrooms (one double bed (140cm) and two single beds (110cm and 90cm)), shower room and toilet.
