la Grange de la Vilandié

We've decided to open the doors of the abandoned Grange once again.

Self-contained Holiday cottage in a tiny hamlet (former farm) in the Pays Cordais, where the owners live at the back below. Private lake for Fishing.

Front courtyard, carport, rear garden with attractive 22m² terrace, barbecue, garden furniture (table and chairs) + relaxation garden furniture (two-seater bench, two armchairs, coffee table and two sun loungers), Piscine shared with the owners.

On the ground floor: huge living room with lovely wooden beams, three bedrooms, one with en-suite shower room and a special Kids bedroom.

Leaving Albi on the Cordes road, you start to climb, with the whole City spread out at your feet, and the view stretching as far as the Mountain Noire. Once you've reached the Cordes plateau, the landscape is completely different, with the brickwork so prevalent in Albi giving way to white limestone, and vineyards appearing all along the roads to the bastides of Cordes-sur-Ciel or Castelnau-de-Montmiral.

The village of Mailhoc lies halfway between Albi and Cordes. There are a number of small, formerly agricultural hamlets, such as La Vilandié, where each family owned a house (or several houses), a barn and outbuildings, with land all around, and sometimes a lake, as here.

You'll be staying in a beautifully restored, full-length former barn, a true Holiday cottage de Caractère. Relaxing vacations, heritage and cultural visits, tasting the wines of Gaillac, France's oldest vineyard, sporting activities and swimming at Cap Découverte.
