La Carfelié

The little farm in the valley Between Tarn and Aveyron lie the plateaux of Ségala, a small corner of the countryside combining fields and small copses, criss-crossed by numerous streams and rivers, known here as the Land of a Hundred Valleys.

The region is pleasant in summer, cool and green. Swimming (with lifeguards) is available at Lake de la Roucarié or at Cap Découverte, a sports complex (grass skiing, Dévalkart, waterski lift, swimming pools, etc.) built on the grounds of the former mines. The Museums de la Mine is a fine evocation of Carmaux's coal mining past.
You can also discover the hidden treasures of the Ségala region on walks and Hiking trails, including Eiffel's Viaur viaduct, the Planques chapel and the Ambialet peninsula. The Soulages Museum in Rodez is just 30 minutes away, and of course the Episcopal City of Albi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.


** HOLIDAY COTTAGE **
A detached house, totally isolated in the Countryside, set in an old farmhouse typical of the Ségala region. The adjoining barn and old bread oven are still there, just as they were in days gone by. At the bottom of a valley, surrounded by fields, with a private path, calm and rest are guaranteed.
First floor:
- kitchen to the right with dining table. Access to shower room with toilet from kitchen.
* Kitchen equipped with oven, toaster, kettle, dishwasher, microwave, fridge with freezer, filter coffee maker.
- Living room to left of entrance with sofa bed, TV, books and board games.
Upstairs are two bedrooms:
- the first with a 90cm double bed and a 120cm single bed,
- the second with a 140cm double bed, a 90cm single bed and a high bed with 2 90cm beds.
In the shed next to the house: washing machine available.

Outside: approx. 1500m² of enclosed, shaded grounds, charcoal barbecue, garden table, portico, shed. Around the Holiday cottage, fields of cereals or pasture where you'll see sheep and cows from time to time.

We don't rent sheets and towels, so please bring your own.
