At the foot of the Montagne Noire

The hamlet of St. Joseph, at the foot of the Montagne Noire, features two very comfortable holiday cottages and the home of the owners, who are retired farmers. The holiday cottages (ref. nos. G40 and G730), which are self-contained, have been converted from a barn and a stable. Surrounded by one hectare of meadows, peace and quiet are guaranteed. To cool off, there’s a lovely 11 m x 6 m Piscine in the courtyard.
For outdoor activities, the Montagne Noire offers hiking and mountain biking trails, fishing in lakes or mountain streams, deep forests, and the Lampy and Cammazes dams. There’s also a Base de loisirs and water sports facilities in St-Ferréol. For lovers of heritage and history, visit the Grand Site de Sorèze, the bastide town of Revel, and the Rigole de Riquet (you’re very close to the headwaters of the Canal du Midi), which you can follow all the way to the watershed in the Lauragais region, at the threshold of Naurouze.

La Baraque à Paille, a self-contained holiday cottage. Ground floor: living room with an open, fully equipped kitchenette (complete with all appliances), and a bathroom. Upstairs: a double bedroom (140x200 cm double bed), a bathroom (with bathtub) and toilet, and on the landing, a large area for kids with two 90-cm beds and a pull-out sofa. Reversible air conditioning (heat pump) on the upper floor and ground floor, wood-burning stove (wood provided).

Bed linen and towels provided (beds made on arrival). Patio, outdoor furniture, and a grill for outdoor meals. The saltwater pool (11 x 6 m, 1.70 m deep in the center and 1.20 m deep at the edges), shared by both holiday cottages, is fenced in. In the large shed, you can play foosball or table tennis. Bicycles (for adults and children) are available to borrow for lovely rides.
