The surrounding forests were the refuge of the Enfant Sauvage At an altitude of 800m, Carausse is a typical hamlet in the Gijou valley, in the heart of the Monts de Lacaune, in the Parc Naturel du Haut Languedoc.

The hamlet is a veritable haven of greenery and coolness in summer, and the surrounding woods are a mushroom-lover's paradise, when the mists of the valley envelop the slopes of the surrounding peaks. The owners have patiently restored this old stone building with its exposed beams. Fishing, hiking, discovering the Gijou valley and total relaxation are all part of your vacation program. The resort of Lacaune, 4 km away, offers a full range of services. L'Espace des Sources Chaudes is the perfect place to relax in all seasons. The "voie verte" rail trail is nearby.

**The Gîte**

Quiet gîte at the end of a mountain hamlet, adjoining an occasionally-occupied holiday home.

First floor: living room with fireplace, kitchenette, shower room with toilet, hairdryer. The kitchen is equipped with fridge-freezer, 3-burner gas stove with oven, toaster, mixer, beater, chopper, pressure cooker, microwave, filter coffee maker, various dishes and cooking accessories.

On the mezzanine floor, two 140x190 double beds, 1 0.90 commode bed. A folding screen is available to separate the 2 beds. Electric heating, wood-burning fireplace.

Baby equipment: high chair and bathtub on request.

Small terrace at entrance + large sunken terrace shaded by a hazelnut tree and with country views, with barbecue. Private parking and garage.
