An old farmhouse typical of the region, at the gateway to the City of Lisle-sur-Tarn

Lisle-sur-Tarn is a 13th-century bastide town on the banks of the River Tarn, in the heart of the Gaillac Vineyard, in a privileged location halfway between Toulouse and Albi.
A square with arcades, unique in the south-west, and a landscape organized between Forest, plain and wine-growing hillsides, make this village an attractive and welcoming bastide. The central square is one of the largest arcaded squares in the south-west (approx. 5,000 m²).
A former pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela, the Count of Toulouse, Raymond VII, wanted to create a City to replace the 'castel' of Montaigut. The production and sale of wine, then woad, created a rich Market, which a river port on the Tarn opened up to northern Europe. Still a winegrower, Lisle-sur-Tarn is now a must on the Circuit des Bastides.


THE GITE :
A detached, traditional Gaillac house located at the end of a cul-de-sac with a few residential houses. The area is very quiet and restful thanks to the fields that surround the back of the Holiday cottage, and the house stays cool thanks to its thick walls.

First floor:
- dining table and fitted kitchen opening onto the covered terrace outside,
- living room with sofas and tv,
- separate wc, storeroom with washing machine

First floor: three bedrooms:
- a 110x190cm single bed
- a 140x190cm bed and a 70x140cm baby bed only
- a 140x190cm bed and a 120x190cm single bed
- shower room with basin, shower and toilet
At the top of the staircase, you can close off with a barrier for Kids.

Outside: a large garden surrounds the house. Just off the kitchen is a covered terrace where you can enjoy your meals, with a barbecue and porch for the little ones.
