Opposite the Renaissance Château des Doyens, in the heart of the listed village of Carennac, lies Logis de Calypso. Push open the front door surmounted by a lintel engraved with the date 1791...and you enter the contemporary ambience of the living room, extended by a terrace offering a remarkable view of the Dordogne river which it overlooks! This house, previously occupied by a beekeeper and the village's former hairdresser, has been given a second lease of life thanks to Raoul and Lucienne DARNIS. You'll be welcomed by Didier and Nicole (gingerbread producers). With its unusual weathervane cow at the peak of the roof, this house, which takes its name from the island just opposite, can accommodate 2 people very comfortably. We particularly like the high level of comfort throughout, the cosy bedroom upstairs with its en-suite shower room, the terrace overlooking the river and the small garden with its majestic palm tree! Semi-detached house attached to a year-round dwelling, not overlooked.
