Holiday cottage Le 111 is a character house steeped in history, ideally located in the heart of the medieval town of Martel. A witness to centuries gone by, it survived the Hundred Years' War and still retains a remarkable trace of its strategic role: in the continuity of the house, just below one of the bedrooms, is one of the ancient gates that once protected the City. This rare vestige lends the place an authentic and singular atmosphere. What's more, the new owners wanted to preserve the soul of the Holiday cottage by keeping certain objects from the previous owner's travels, notably in Africa and Qatar, which add a discreet touch of the exotic. Carefully renovated, the house offers a harmonious balance between modern comfort and old-world charm: stone walls, period volumes and warm decor make for a welcoming setting. A small, intimate courtyard is ideal for al fresco dining. Ideally located just a stone's throw from shops, restaurants and cafés, Le 111 is the perfect base for exploring Martel's medieval streets, famous towers and Market. The surrounding area also offers a wealth of activities, from Hiking and canoeing to visits to the emblematic sites of the Lot and Dordogne rivers: a holiday combining history, discovery and the good life. Stairway to the Holiday cottage: kitchen with dining area, 1st sleeping area with 1 bedroom (160cm bed), a bathroom and separate WC. A few steps from the kitchen to the living/dining room. On one side: steps to 1 bedroom (160cm bed); on the other, stairs to 2 bedrooms: 1 with a 160cm bed, private bathroom and private WC, and another bedroom (160cm bed) in a row, leading to a bathroom with WC, then to a very attic bedroom with 2 90cm beds (these 3 bedrooms are air-conditioned). In the courtyard, 2 tables and chairs for 10 guests, 3mx4m parasol and gas barbecue. In the extension, small veranda with 1 vintage table and 2 chairs, table-top fridge and crockery. Sunbathing area with 2 sun loungers, 6 sun loungers and a small table. A small parasol can be added. Free parking in the street around the Holiday cottage. No parties allowed. All-inclusive formula.
