5 kms from St Cirq Lapopie, classified as one of France's favorite villages, the Holiday cottage la Maison du Cluzel is an old family home (since 1880!), entirely restored in a spirit combining modernism and authenticity. With its stone and wood interior, pleasantly decorated, comfortably equipped...and an impressive old wood-burning oven in the kitchen...this house has a soul, that's for sure! Outside, we can already imagine ourselves having meals or relaxing in the pleasant enclosed garden, enjoying the proximity of the river Lot 300m away (with a slipway for boats), a grocery store 1km away, and the start of several hiking trails, one of which leads to the Château de Cenevières (magnificent view...a must!). And we love the idea of being able to swim in the river on a supervised beach just 4 km away in summer!
